GoalHow to Replace an NMS (Netra Modular System) Fiber Shuffle Cable SolutionCAP PROBLEM OVERVIEW: It is recommended before arriving on site to review the process in the service manual supplement as it contains graphic and additional information that is too large or too complex to fix into this text only CAP. Tools Needed: 1. Follow safety and ESD precautions. 2. Find the faulty fiber shuffle cable. The following table lists the cables (in groups of three or four) per slot. Slots By Group for Fiber Shuffle Cables 3, 5, 7, 9 3. Remove the FBS covers: 4. Disconnect the cable tails: 5. Remove the three FBS covers in-between the FBS covers that you already removed. 6. Connect the new fiber shuffle cable to the ports. 7. Starting at the bottom, connect the cable tails and reinstall the FBS covers: 8. Disconnect the faulty fiber shuffle cable from the two switches, and coil it up out of the way. 9. Connect the new fiber shuffle cable to the new switches:
