Goal

When executing "Remount LUN" procedure from PIC Maintenance Guide, the following error is generated:

Could not add volume information! at /usr/TKLC/plat/lib/TPD/Prov/Shim.pm line 781.

How to fix it ?

Solution

This error is usually generated when the Blade server is unable to reach one of the fiber channel path for the LUN used in the command.

The root cause can be:

Wrong configuration of the brocade switch (zoning) or
Hardware issue
- bad fiber channel cable
- bad fiber channel port
- SAN controller issue
- LUN availability
- Etc
