Goal

If the EMSALM terminal connection is lost between Eagle STP and the E5MS, a critical alarm is displayed about 50 minutes after the event. This is too late. Expected time should be much less.


TEST:all EMSALM Terminals blocked at STP

Solution

Perform the following steps:

1. cat /Tekelec/WebNMS/conf/tekelec/fault.properties
2. Check for IS_ALIVE_INTERVAL in this file
3. If it is set to 15, change it to 5
4. Restart the E5MS application

5. Test the IPSM removal after this. It should take the critical alarm to appear in approximately 15 minutes.
