Tools Needed:
#3 Phillips screwdriver - recommended magnetic with 6" minimum shaft.  A 12-16" works best on this system.

Using the table below, verify the replacement power cord is the correct length, then perform these steps.

Note – Replacement cords are available in short and long lengths.

Replace an FBS Power Cord

1. Follow safety and ESD precautions.

2. Locate the node with the faulty FBS power cord, power down the node, then pull the node out about three inches.

3. Also power down and remove the node and side rail at the applicable slot identified in the table above so you can access the socket on the PDU.

4. Disconnect the power cord from the PDU.

5. Remove the power cord from the FBS, then remove the cord completely from the modular system.
   a) remove the FBS cover
   b) pull the FBS out "a little" by releasing the two plungers that hold the FBS in the rails
   c) push down and pull back on the white tab to 'unlock' the plug from the metal casing.

6. Install new power cord into the FBS.

7. Plug new power cord into the PDU.

8. Install the side rails and all nodes.
