Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 7.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

After shutting down both eth02 and eth12 of (Tekelec Virtual Operating Environment (TVOE) which hosting active SO, the ha.mystate on standby SO still shows standby after a long wait(15 minutes) and the disconnected SO still has Virtual IP Address (VIP). On TVOE, no matter what we shut down Eth for XMI or IMI, it won’t switchover.

Solution

The switchover only happens for systems using a none segregated XMI and IMI. This system is setup were the XMI and Platform Management are on separate ethernet interfaces. By taking down the ethernet interfaces from the TVOE, the client is isolated from being able to up date the NOAM or it's mate.
