No faults remain on the system - but a fault LED remains lit.

Goal

Clear a continually lit fault LED - after making sure there are no faults remaining on the system.

Solution

To view and mark repaired the faults on the Fault Management Shell (FMA faults logged to the SP):

        a)  While still logged into the Oracle ILOM/SP, start the Fault Management Shell

                    -> start /SP/faultmgmt/shell

        b)  View faulted components

                    faultmgmtsp> fmadm faulty

        c)  For each fault listed, run the repair command

                    faultmgmtsp> fmadm repair <UUID>

        d)  Log out of the shell

                    faultmgmtsp> exit

To clear fault events and reset ILOM/SP:

ssh to the ILOM as root ILOM user

-> cd /SP/logs/event
-> set clear=true
Are you sure you want to clear /SP/logs/event (y/n)? y
Set 'clear' to 'true'

-> reset /SP
Are you sure you want to reset /SP (y/n)? y
