In this Document
Applies to:Pillar Axiom Replication Engine (MaxRep) - Version 1.0 to 2.0 [Release 1.0 to 2.0]Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalIf the BIOS of an Oracle MaxRep R2 Replication Engine has been configured with an unknown IP address, you might need to check or change the settings. This document describes how to verify the Remote Management Module 3 (RMM3) port settings on a Replication Engine, and how to change the settings if needed. SolutionThis procedure requires you to power off and reboot the Oracle MaxRep Replication Engine, which could interrupt replication services. Unless the Replication Engine is a passive node in a High Availability (HA) pair, you must perform a resync after completing the following steps. You must have a monitor and keyboard available to connect to the Replication Engine. 1. Confirm that the Replication Engine can be powered off without losing data.
4. Log in to the console using the root password. # reboot
6. After the reboot is complete, press F2 to enter the setup menu with the BIOS settings. 9. Review the settings for RMM3 LAN configuration. To change the IP source, subnet mask, or gateway IP address, follow the instructions on the right side of the screen. Do not change the settings for Baseboard LAN Configuration.
Default RMM3 port settings:
The following screen contains sample output. The default values for the IP address and the Gateway IP have been reset. 10. To save changes and exit, press F10. If you do not have changes to save, press ESC. If you changed the RMM3 settings, you can verify the new values by rebooting the Replication Engine and then entering the new IP address in your browser.
