Goal
Encryption Support on the IBM LTO7, 1U Rackmount Enclosure.
Solution
The 1U Rackmount Tape Enclosure drives will not support the Oracle Network based OKM (Oracle Knowledge Management) Encryption solution.
There is no OKM encryption support due to the drives in the 1U Rackmount Tape Enclosure not having a Belisarius Encryption card.
The 1U Rackmount Tape Enclosure drives will support Data Path Encryption over the SAS interface of the drives.
Note: The Data Path Encryption is typically controlled by the Backup Application solution, so customers should verify that their Backup Application solution supports Data Path Encryption.
