FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
PROBLEM OVERVIEW: Remove and replace the Compact Flash Card on the MICROS Workstation 4/4LX, 5/5A, or 2015.
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: Always power off the workstation before removing the Compact Flash (CF) Card.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?:
Removing the CF Card:
Once the workstation is powered off, catch the CF card lip using a thumbnail or fingernail and remove it from the socket.

Installing the CF Card:
1. Use an L-wrench to open the 2 screws that are holding the cover in place.
2. Facing the IO Panel, install the card with the label showing and the arrow in the upper left corner.
3. Push the card into the socket using very little force until only a few millimeters are visible.

NOTE: For the Workstation 2015, the Compact Flash Card is optional. The CF card may be ordered from the Oracle Store @

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?:
Ensure that workstation powers on and starts. 'CF NOT FOUND POST' error is caused by CF Card not being properly installed or disabled.
Run the Client Application Loader (CAL) on the workstation. See <Document 2039918.1> How to Run the Client Application Loader (CAL).
