Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Can sequence number be appended in the NN3820 CDR file just like in the SD9200?

Solution

No, the sequence number cannot be appended in the NN3820 CDR output.  This functionality is not available on 'C' series devices, including the AP 3820.

Reference

In 9200, the sequence number can be enabled as it has a feature, 'file-seq-number' that is not present in NN3820

Under account-config,

max-file-size                  1000000
max-files                      700
file-seq-number                enabled  -----------------------enable this parameter, then CDR with sequence number will be displayed
file-compression               enabled
file-decompression             enabled

By enabling file-seq-number parameter in the account config configuration of a 9200, the sequence numbers will be displayed:

-rw-r--r-- 1 acme src 0 Nov 23 16:02 cdr200911212346-000000040
-rw-r--r-- 1 acme src 0 Nov 23 16:02 cdr200911212347-000000041
-rw-r--r-- 1 acme src 0 Nov 23 16:02 cdr200911212348-000000042
-rw-r--r-- 1 acme src 0 Nov 23 16:02 cdr200911212349-000000043

000000040, 000000041, 000000042...and so on are the CDR file sequence numbers.
