FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
   PROBLEM OVERVIEW: How to install an adjustable stand. The Adjustable Stand converts the low profile Workstation 5/5A or WS4/4LX into an adjustable display design.

   WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: Power off the MICROS Workstation 5/5A and unplug the power cable from the wall receptacle.

   WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?:

Workstation 5/5A:

1. Ensure that the securing mechanisms on both sides of the stand are in the horizontal or open position. If the securing mechanisms are not open, they might be secured by two allen screws and need to be unscrewed at least half way to allow the securing mechanisms to turn open.

2. Make sure the cables (ex: LAN cable, serial cable, A/C input, cash draw cable etc..) are in the middle of the stand, tied with a twist cable or Velcro. This will help ensure that the workstation is properly aligned in the stand.

3. Line up the Workstation 5/5A with the securing mechanisms and AC input receptacle and gently guide the workstation into the stand.

4. While holding the Workstation 5/5A in place with one hand, turn the securing mechanism knob on each side to the vertical or locked position.

5. Plug the power cable into the wall receptacle and turn the workstation on.

Workstation 4/4LX:

The Workstation 4/4LX Adjustable Stand does not have the securing knobs. Simply line up the stand slots to the mounting bracket on the workstation and slide the workstation onto the stand and secure the two retaining screws to prevent the workstation from sliding up and off the stand.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
   WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?:

Ensure that the workstation is securely anchored in the stand and operational.
