Applies to:
Oracle Communications EAGLE (Software) - Version EAGLE 44.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
We wish to perform map screening and modify the Called party address. Is this possible? How can it be done?
If we perform MAP screening and change the Translation Table (TT), can we then add analysis for that TT in a different Global Title Translation (GTT) Set that will then modify the called party address. i.e. is GTT done after MAP screening.
Scenario:
A SRI_SM comes from international links (which have map screening switched on) with CGPA=SMSC and CDPA=MSISDN)
We want to detect when a message comes from a particular SMSC (CGPA) and if so modify the CDPA (which is MSISDN) to something else and then send it back to our international link)
Solution
You need to have Advanced GT Modification Feature available on your STP.
893021801 - AMGTT - provides GT modification to both the called party address and the calling
party address of SCCP messages. This part number can be specified only if no Advanced GT
Modification feature is currently enabled.
893021802 - AMGTT CdPA Only - provides GT modification to the called party address of SCCP
messages only. This feature and its part number is shown in the rtrv-ctrl-feat output only if
the MGTT feature from previous releases was turned on when the Eagle 5 ISS was upgraded to
the release containing the Advanced GT Modification feature. This part number cannot be specified
with the enable-ctrl-feat command.
893021803 - AMGTT CgPA Upgrade - provides GT modification to the calling party address and
called party address of SCCP messages. This part number can be specified only if the AMGTT
CdPA Only feature (part number 893021802) is enabled.
You may need to see FLOBR (Flexible Origin based Routing) feature.
This allows more integrated screening and GTT.
As you need to modify SRI_SM only; it will be identified based upon Opcode. You may need the TOBR (TCAP Origin Based Routing) Feature as well.
Below are part numbers for these features.
If you do not have these features; please contact your sales account manager and he will guide you further related to their advantages.
TOBR/FLOBR features provide search flexibility.
This means that user can decide on which parameters to check and the order in which they are checked.
Similarly; EAGLE also allows TOBR, FLOBR and GTT Actions to be performed after execution of a relay-based NP services such as G-Port, G-Flex, or, MT-based GSM SMS NP features.
Part Numbers are:
FLOBR (893-0277-01)
OBSR (893-0143-01)
TOBR (893-0278-01)
Hopefully; you will be using GSM SMS NP feature in your network? So your requirement is possible.
For details; you will have to contact your Sales Account Manager who will guide you through a technical sales representative on the feature strengths and how to use them in your scenario.
