PROBLEM OVERVIEW: Replace the defective Ethernet cable for an Ethernet printer.
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: Turn off the printer and unplug the power supply cable from the wall outlet.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?:
1. Unplug the defective Ethernet cable from the printer Ethernet port and the unit at the other end of the cable.
2. Plug the new Ethernet cable into the printer Ethernet port and into the unit at the other end of the cable.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE?: Plug in the power supply cable into the wall outlet and turn on the printer. Ensure that there is connectivity with the network by performing a test print.
