GoalHow to Replace an Ethernet 10BASE-T Cable (CAT 5E UTP) for a HUB or Router or Switch. Solution DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS 1. Unplug the defective Ethernet cable from the HUB or Router/Switch and from the unit at the other end by depressing the tab holding the ethernet cable in the jack. 2. Plug the new Ethernet cable to one of the ports on the HUB or Router/Switch and into the unit at the other end.
Be sure that the HUB/Router is receiving data. The port activity light in which the Ethernet cable is connected should be lit.
