Goal

Will there be a "CMTS Conn Lost" clear trap after network element deletion in next release 11.5.x?

Solution

The product currently works as designed. The removal of an NE from the CMP does not generate a clear alarm. This is considered an enhancement and
would require the user to submit an Request For Feature (RFF) - through the user's Oracle Account team.

The workaround is to manually clear the Alarm or remove the NE, before it is taken offline.

In release 11.5.2 the alarm has been changed to auto clear in 2 hours, and a further change in release 12.2 is to not generate an alarm for CMTS lost connection if it was because of remove.
