Goal

Moving VOLID from Storage Slot to Drive and Back to Storage Slot.

Solution

SL3000 - Recovery Move with SLConsole

CAP Assigment must be in “Diagnostic” mode. To verify, CAP reserver must be in “default”. See next two screenshots.

To move VOLID to a drive, you can specify Storage Slots or VOLID and it must move to CAP first before move to the drive. See next 2 screenshots.

Remember to put CAP assignment back to Host Operation and verify reserver is back to “scsi0”
