Goal

This document provides details about what needs to be done after memory DIMM replacement/upgrade for the memory to be recognized by the OS.

Solution

After Upgrade or replacement of Memory DIMM, the ILOM is showing the dimms and no faults. But OS (free command) is not showing the upgraded/replaced memory.

The nodes need to be rebooted after memory DIMM replacement for OS to recognize new memory.
