Solution Type Technical Instruction Sure Solution 2004624.1 : FS System: How to Resolve a PCP_EVT_SYSTEM_STATE_CHANGE ASR Event
In this Document
Applies to:Oracle FS1-2 Flash Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalThis article describes activity required by a System Administrator to verify whether a PCP_EVT_SYSTEM_STATE_CHANGE is ignorable or actionable. If actionable, instructions will be provided as to how to proceed. SolutionAuto Service Request (ASR) provides automatic failure detection and SR creation for Oracle hardware systems. See http://www.oracle.com/us/asr/index.html for more information on ASR. This particular ASR event has created a Service Request. This requires manual verification in order to determine whether further action by Oracle Service is required.
1. Verify the health of the array: From the Gui -> Alerts and Events -> Status Summary and verify the overall status of the FS1 also ensure there are no Admin actions open. NOTE: If this was a planned outage or upgrade, please wait about 5-10 minutes once all H/W components are green (Controllers and Drive Enclosures). 2. This can be cause by changing the time source of the Pilots such as disabling the NTP (Network Time Protocol) setting, manually updating the system time to be an hour later and then re-enabling NTP. The only way to avoid the problem is to not manually set the system time.
Please update your SR if the proposed solution did not fix the issue, a support engineer will then be assigned to assist. NOTE: Without further updates we will close the SR in 14 days. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
