Goal
During the System Firmware update process it stopped at step 44/98 (might also happen at a different step). How can we recover from this?
Solution
Action:
- reset service processor (sp)
- How to reset the SP on a T3-x and T4-x (Doc ID 1541150.1)
and in case if the sp is no longer responding, advise is to perform an ac power-cycle of the system
- Performing an AC power cycle on the T3/T4/T5 Servers (Doc ID 1571054.1)
- re-perform the system firmware upgrade
and if there is still an issue, open a service request by oracle support and collect the following data:
- ilom snapshot
- Collecting snapshot on ILOM 3.x and later platforms (Doc ID 1020204.1)
- Collecting snapshot via the GUI on ILOM 3.x and later platforms (Doc ID 1553399.1)
- Collect ILOM snapshot on T3-x and T4-x systems without an active network management connection (Doc ID 1518044.1)
