Goal

The goal of this document is to show how to setup capacity alert for the storage pools for administrative purposes or to get an alert when storage pool going over the 80% mark.

Possible performance issues can happen as you go over the 80% mark or higher.

Solution

Starting with 2013.1.x Appliance Firmware Releases, administrators can setup threshold alerts on capacity for the pools based on 'percent used' or 'bytes used'.

To setup threshold alert in the BUI go to Configuration > Alerts > Threshold alerts.

There are a few options for capacity type alerts which you can choose to fit your need.

Below is an example of a screenshot to setup an alert for over 80% capacity usage.
