Applies to:

Oracle Communications Diameter Signaling Router (DSR) - Version DSR 4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why are the PDBI audits failing from the HLRR.

Solution

User was under the impression the HLRR PDBI audit would audit from the HLRR to the SDS.

-  SDS PDB Relay: This feature translates SDS Provisioning updates Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) sent to the SDS into HLRR Provisioning updates (PDBI) and retransmits them to the HLRR.

- HLRR PDB Relay: This feature takes incoming HLRR Provisioning updates (PDBI) received from the SDS and retransmits them to a configured downstream Active Eagle Provisioning Application Processor (EPAP) PDB Server without any additional  translation (still PDBI).

Without any EPAPs configured for HLRR PDB Relay, the HLRR Remote Audit should be considered non-functional for current configuration.

The HLRR Remote Audit feature does not perform a Audit back towards the SDS, this is not permitted.  This is the reason for the failures.
