Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

What are the preventive recommendations before modifying the power supply on the Telco switches connected to the Sigtran cards of the Eagle ?

Solution

1. As a preventive action, you can save the configuration of your switches with the following commands.

STP_Switch1A#copy running-config startup-config
Destination filename [startup-config]?
Building configuration...
[OK]
STP_Switch1A#
Command
Copy Running-config Startup-config
Use
This command lets you save your running configuration to the router's startup configuration (NVRAM) so it will
survive a reload.

2. On the Eagle side, please perform a DB backup and check the available redundancy of your Sigtran links, the availability of a spare E5-ENET-A card and E5-ENET-B on your STP site.

If during your operation you were to face any issue on the Eagle, please contact the CAS (Customer Access Service) to engage an available engineer.
