GoalCan setting a password for a user on the XSCF be done from a remote domain running Solaris?
SolutionIt can be done if you know 1) a username on the xscf (and that user's password) 2) the above xscf user has useradm privilege. 3) ssh is setup/enabled on the xscf.
xscf_user2 is the user on the xscf whose password we want to set 10.2.3.4 is the IP address of the xscf-lan network port $ ssh xscf_user1@10.2.3.4 password xscf_user2 xscf_user1@10.2.3.4 xscf_user1s password: <<< enter xscf_user1's password New XSCF password: Newpassword <<< enter the new password for xscf_user2 Retype new XSCF password: Newpassword <<< re-enter the new password for xscf_user2 xscf_user2 's password is now set to the new password
