SolutionDISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS WHAT SKILLS DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED?: Exadata trained TIME ESTIMATE: 240 Minutes TASK COMPLEXITY: 3
PROBLEM OVERVIEW: With the introduction of elastic configurations on Exadata and ZDLRA platforms, there are numerous scenarios that will require the installation of the upper cable harness. Most field upgrades that require installation of hardware into the upper half of the rack for the first time will require installing the upper rack cable harness kit. This Video will go through the inventory of expected parts, cover the process for installing both the ethernet and InfiniBand cable harnesses into an Exadata or ZDLRA rack, and how to properly secure them in the rack. COMPLEXITY: 3 Field Engineers should review this training prior to installing an upper cable harness in any of the Engineered Systems that require them.
