Goal
How to upgrade to OKM 2.5.3
What are the requirements when upgrading OKM to 2.5.3
We will be upgrading our OKM firmware to version 2.5.3 from 2.5.2 and are looking for a direction from oracle as to whether it should be done in a single effort or a 2 day process.
Solution
Upgrading OKM 2.5.2 to 2.5.3 may be completed in one day, assuming that all required upgrades to the ILOM and GUI have been previously completed.
Upgrading to OKM 2.5.3 from KMS 2.0.2 or 2.1 also requires an added step of upgrading the KMA first to KMS 2.2.x.
Make sure that the upgrade is done one KMA at a time. Start with the next KMA's upgrade after the previous KMA's upgrade has been fully completed
(i.e., replication lag size is 0 (or close to 0) and the KMA has been unlocked ).
Upgrade requirements: ( Refer to the attached OKM 2.5.3 Release Notes for details )
1. Must be running OKM 2.5.3 GUI to install OKM 2.5.3
Patch ID 20009395 - Oracle Key Manager (OKM) 2.5.3 GUI Windows (Patch)
Patch ID 20009420 - Oracle Key Manager (OKM) 2.5.3 GUI Solaris (Patch)
2. Must be running these server ILOM and BIOS firmware levels or later ( depending on KMA server model )

Upgrade procedure:
Please refer to the attached OKM 2.5.3 Release Notes to view the upgrade procedure. The release notes document is
included in the OKM 2.5.3 upgrade patch ID 20002165 - Oracle Key Manager (OKM) 2.5.3 Firmware Solaris.
Supported customers can download the OKM 2.5.3 images from My Oracle Support by taking the following steps:
- Log in to My Oracle Support (MOS).
- Click on the "Patches & Updates" tab near the top of the window.
- In the Patch Search pane, click on "Product or Family(Advanced Search)."
- Check the box for "Include all products in a family."
- In the Product field, type "Key Manager" and then choose "Oracle Key Manager"
- In the Release field pulldown, select "Oracle Key Manager (OKM) 2.5".
- Close the release pulldown window and click on the Search button.
- It should return a page with many different release choices.
- Scroll down and choose "Oracle Key Manager (OKM) 2.5.3 Firmware Solaris (Patch)"
- Choose 'Download' to download the file 'p20002165_250_SOLARIS64.zip'
