AEM Pre-Power Door Inspection
Solution
Some time ago an addition of foam blocks under the AEM moving door was made that help prevent damage and separation of the slats during shipping. However, under extreme shipping stresses the slats can still become partially separated. If unnoticed and the AEM is powered on, the door can suddenly separate and crash to the bottom of the track. As a result you can have cracked door slats, broken limit switches and other possible damage. Although this is not a common issue please check the doors and make sure all the slats are flat and evenly spaced after removing the shipping blocks and before applying power.
