If the RBAR menu is not available on the Standby or Spare SOAM the below steps can be followed to have the RBAR menu included on the devices.

Why is RBAR menu missing from the standby and spare SOAM?

Solution

The load.rbarActivateBsourced script in directory /usr/TKLC/dsr/prod/maint/loaders/activate/ was not run when the RBAR feature was added.

How to add Rbar menu:

1. Login in to the standby SOAM GUI
2. Ensure there is no RBAR menu item listed on the left blue panel
3. Exit the GUI
4. Login in to the standby SOAM server as root
5. cd /usr/TKLC/dsr/prod/maint/loaders/activate/
6. input the following 2 commands
   1. ./load.rbarActivateBsourced
   2. clearCache
7. Login in to the standby SOAM GUI
8. Ensure the RBAR menu item is listed on the left blue panel.
9. Exit the GUI
10. Login in to the spare SOAM GUI
11. Ensure there is no RBAR menu item listed on the left blue panel
12. Exit the GUI
13. Login in to the spare SOAM server as root
    1. cd /usr/TKLC/dsr/prod/maint/loaders/activate/
14. input the following 2 commands
    1. ./load.rbarActivateBsourced
    2. clearCache
15. Login in to the spare SOAM GUI
16. Ensure the RBAR menu item is listed on the left blue panel.
17. Exit the GUI
18. Completed
