Goal
To provide steps to configure ethernet networking on QLogic cards in an Oracle Exalytics system
Solution
To configure HBA interfaces on Exalytics, first apply patch 19849544 EXALYTICS PATCHSET 1.0.0.5 X4-4 QLOGIC CARD ETHERNET CONNECTIVITY PATCH, and see RN 2.3.10 (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E56045_01/doc.1/e57265/toc.htm#CACHEIIC), specifically:
2.3.10 Configuring Ethernet Networking on QLogic Cards

Each X4-4 Exalytics Machine is shipped with QLogic cards installed. If required, you can configure ethernet networking on QLogic cards.
To configure ethernet networking on QLogic cards, perform the following tasks:
1.Navigate to My Oracle Support.
2.Download patch number 19849544 (PS5 Bare Metal X4-4 patch for QLogic cards).
The patch contains a zip file with scripts required to configure QLogic cards for ethernet.
3.Unzip the file to a local directory.
4.Follow the readme instructions for installing the rpms and configuring network on QLogic cards
