Goal

E5MS GUI is not running.
The authentication page comes up, but does not move beyond that.

Solution

The issue is related to a stuck JAVA process.
The E5MS GUI requires JAVA. A new process cannot be started if one is already running

The workaround is:

1. ps -ef | grep -iE "mysql|java"

This will show you the running processes of mysql/java still running

2. kill -9 on above PIDs
3. service e5msService restart

This should not be a common occurrence.
