Applies to:
Oracle Communications EAGLE (Hardware) - Version E5-MS 45.0 and later
Tekelec
Goal
The script function "Send Alarm" works wrong. The problem is reproducible:
1.)Login into E5MS
2.)Click to Configuration --> ScriptManagement --> Create
3.)Then click to "Insert API" and chosse "SendAlarm"
4.)Fill-in the necessary parameter for SubResource, Severity, Message .... and save it.
5.)Execute this small script
Now you can see a new entry in the window "Network Events" but not in the window "Alarms".
Why do we see this created alarm not in the alarm window?
Please solve this error in the next version.
We need solution time and version!
Solution
The SendAlarm command works as follows:
When sending an alarm message, the alarm is processed via the E5-MS systems and is displayed in the Network Events window.
If the Resource is not present on the map, it will not be displayed in the Alarms window, but if the resource is present, the alarm will be shown on the alarm window.
If the customer wishes to have the alarm shown on the window, he/she needs to make certain that the resource that is used is present on the network map.
If the customer wishes to send an alarm message about an item that is not displayed in the map, the Resource of "World" may be used and the SubResource may be used to indicate the unique message that should be used for the alarm.
