Goal

If it is needed to know how direction is tagged on MSU for traffic coming from SS7 PMF, this document provided the necessary steps.

Solution

For E1/T1, the field Way (or Direction) is set depending on which input traffic is coming in PMF (Rx or Tx).

In this case, please check if they have a cross-connect (CC) before the PMF.

Inverting Rx/Tx on one link to check status again and to prove that links are wrongly connected.

The Rx/tx can be inverted for a link/linkset (in CC or cabling).
