Goal

This document explains how the default route on Infiniband Switches can be changed.

Solution

The steps below can be used to set the management ip address and its default router in Infiniband switches (nm2-36p, nm2-gw, infiniband switch 72 )

This is set in the ILOM.. Do not edit any of the etc files from the Linux CLI.

Here is an example:

Login to ilom of the switch. Then,
Configure the Switch management network settings:
-> cd /SP/network
-> set pendingipaddress=10.196.16.152
-> set pendingipgateway=10.196.23.254
-> set pendingipnetmask=255.255.248.0
-> set pendingipdiscovery=static
-> set commitpending=true
