Oracle Key Manager - Version 2.0.0 to 3.0 [Release 2.0 to 3.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

During restore of OKM backup files to a newly initialized KMA server at a DR site, the restore process times out with these error messages:
--
Upload Backup Fail Failed
Error: end of file or no input: operation interrupted or timed out (15 S receive delay) (15 S send delay)
--

The backup file size is 85MB.

Is there a configuration parameter in OKM that can extend the timeout period over 15 seconds?

Solution

On the OKM GUI System tab, select Options.
An Options window will pop up and accepts a "Communication Timeout" value from 1 thru 300 seconds.
( The maximum timeout value in earlier versions of OKM is 60 seconds with a default of 15 seconds. )
