If you determine that the platform has redundant power, it is recommended to follow the redundant power supply procedure below instead of powering off the system. After replacing the affected power cords cut the female end of the cord off at least 4 inches from the plug and disposed of both pieces of the cord so they cannot be re-used. If the system does not have redundant power supplies:
If the platform does have redundant power supplies:
Replacing cords which are connecting the rack power strips to datacenter power
