Goal

Where to find firmware for LTO tape drives?

Solution

Search for LTO tape drive firmware in MOS, choosing the "Patches & Updates" tab near the top.

1. Select "Product or Family (Advanced)" in the middle of the 'Patch Search' section.

2. For "Product", type "LTO" and make your selection, from the list of the different LTO drive types shown.

3. For release, select the more specific drive model type.

4. Then for 'Platform', choose the appropriate OS, such as "Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)".

5. Then hit the 'Search' button and choose the firmware of interest.

n.b. you may have to set the 'Filtered by Powerview' field to 'Ignore' in the drop down that is presented in step 2 above to be presented with a list of applicable choices.
