Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

To provide default settings on the L1400 Interface Router to enable the hand to be mapped to a lun to be presented to the host.

Solution

These are the needed settings to be added to the Router:

FIber Port 0

Link Status Link   UP

Port Mode Auto Sense

Use Hard AL_PA Disabled

Discovery Mode Discovery on Link UP

Buffered Tape Writes Enabled

Buffered Tape Queue Depth 1

Default Map Indexed

Performance Mode 2GB

Force FCP Response Code Disabled

Mapping This setting must be enabled

FC PORT 0 FC LUN 0 Lun 0 CHGR UP STK700 0318 (serial number shown as customer specific)

If the above lun is mapped and saved, after the reboot of the router and a IPL of the library this will be active for the customer to use.
