Goal

This document helps customer and internal personnel in generating a Software Activation Key to activate EAGLE new releases and features on Oracle Communications signaling systems. Customer can go through the complete process flow of this document and obtain the required activation key.

Solution

The FAK/SAK self-service generator is live on Oracle's License Codes for Tekelec Eagle website: http://www.oracle.com/us/support/licensecodes/tekelec/index.html

SAK is dependent on:

  • System Serial Number (NTXXXXXXXX)
  • Target Release XX.X.X

Downloading and Using the License Code Generator

1. Download the key generator software from Oracle's License Codes website

3. EagleKeyGeneratorGUI.jar software needs 3 steps:

  1. Include the Part Number* (without dashes)
  2. EAGLE System Serial Number (NT#XXXXXXXX)
  3. Click on "Generate" to generate the codes (See Example below)

Image 5

4. Verify the Part Number

The part number is included in the package downloaded by the customer. If the information is not available, please go to the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud and follow the registration, and login to download the reference package in order to verify the same.

5. Review the Software Build Release information contained in the package

Download the selected software package locally, review the name of the tar.gz file to obtain the Release and buidl information.

Note: The files found in the first level of uncompressing should be transferred to a USB drive unit to be used as removable media, or to a FTP server to download the target software in to the EAGLE inactive partitions.

6. Verify the Data integrity (checksum or hash)
