Goal

Detail the process to Reset The IP Address To The Factory Default. The default IP address is 10.0.0.1.

Solution

1. Ensure the drive is not being used for anything that needs the current IP address. (encryption, SDP)

2. Find the Maintenance Switch on the back of the drive itself or on drive tray.

3. Quickly press and release this switch. Note - if the switch is pressed too long it will force a drive dump.

4. The drive IP is now set for the factory default of 10.0.01.

5. You can now connect to the drive using a machine that has the VOP application installed.
