SL3000 Code 4.30 Does Not Support ADI

Solution

At 4.30 we compress log files in an attempt to retain more log data. While the log compression is running it can impact drive communication if the drive is configured for ADI communication used for STA LTO support. The recommendation is not to install SL3000 code 4.30 if the drives are configured for ADI communication.

While the compression is running it can also impact robot control and the user may notice robot recovery as a result.

The next version of SL3000 firmware will limit log compression just to the HBCR card to address these issues.

Code 4.31 fixed issues and now supports ADI on IBM and HP.
