on page 4 is the request to install qlc patches for an Emulex HBA , which is completely wrong:

Operating System and Technology Requirements
The HBA requires the OS and technology levels listed in TABLE 1-2

Oracle Solaris OS for the SPARC (64-bit) platform
• Oracle Solaris 10 01/13 with patches 149175-02 and 145648-04

149175-02 and 145648-04 are qlc patches and not relevant for Emulex HBAs

But it is very important that you install the relevant Emulex Driver Patches, ie for sparc:

149173-04 5.10: emlxs driver patch [O] Emulex - Requires 144188-02

Solution

This has been fixed on the new document version "StorageTek 8 Gb FC PCI-Express HBA, Emulex Installation Guide , Part No: E20759-03 March 2015"
page 11, Table 1-2 , Supported Operating System/Technology Versions (Minimum)

Oracle Solaris OS for the x86 (64-bit) platform ■ Oracle Solaris 10 01/13 with patches 149174-04, 144189-02, and 150401-16

Oracle Solaris OS for the SPARC (64-bit) platform ■ Oracle Solaris 10 01/13 with patches 149173-04, 144188-02, and 150400-16
