When one or more Flashcards are showing as Missing or Under-performing, what are the first steps

Goal

When one or more Flashcards are showing as Missing or Under-performing, before opening an SR for replacement, what are the first steps.

Solution

When one or more Flashcards are showing as Missing or Under-performing, before opening an SR for a scheduled replacement, hardware engineering requests these steps be performed.

Query using these commands:

cellcli -e list flashcache detail
cellcli -e "list celldisk where disktype=flashdisk and status!=normal"

If anything is not normal, reboot storage cell per:

<Document : 1188080.1> - Steps to shut down or reboot an Exadata storage cell without affecting ASM

Re-query per commands:

cellcli -e list flashcache detail
cellcli -e "list celldisk where disktype=flashdisk and status!=normal"

If everything is now normal then the issue is now resolved.

If everything is not normal, than an SR needs to be raised.
