Goal

IMF synchronize reports the following error: Error : "Unable to update the link as Card Number/Port number has been changed. Please first remove the link and then try to resynchronize."

What is the procedure to fix it ?

Solution

The "Link Error : Unable to update the link as Card Number/Port number has been changed. Please first remove the link and then try to resynchronize." is caused by movement of links in the linksets leading to inconsistencies in the SLC values.

If deleting the incriminated link is not sufficient then delete all the links of the linkset and synchronize the IMF. If the linkset is part of a Network View/Monitoring Group/PDUDataflow, you will have to remove it from the Network View/Monitoring Group/PDUDataflow before you can delete all the links it contains.

Of course the linkset will have to be added back in the Network Niew/Monitoring Group/PDUDataflow after successful synchronize.
