Alarms for HP disk on one of the DB processors. Server disk shelf test warning.

Solution

Replace 600gb or 300gb Hard Drive. Provided instructions below to assist with replacement of hard drive. Note the disk are hot swappable.

Base on the "syscheck disk" locate the physicaldrive within the output.

Example: Physical disk: 1I:1:2, modify location base on output.

# syscheck -v disk hpdisk (note: the output here would also confirm the disk failure. If no failure is shown then run commands 4, 5 and 6 below to clear the alarm. If there is a failure then continue with the steps as outlined.)
# hpacucli ctrl slot=0 physicaldrive 1I:1:2 modify led=on (look for blue led on HD)

# syscheck --reconfig disk smart
# service smartd restart
# syscheck disk smart
# syscheck disk
# hpacucli ctrl slot=0 pd all show status
# hpacucli ctrl slot=0 ld all show status (Track syncing progress with this command. NOTE: This could take more than 90 minutes to complete)

# hpacucli ctrl slot=0 physicaldrive 1I:1:2 modify led=off
