Goal

How are we going to get our data off the SATA array and onto the FC?
 

Solution

Action Plan:

  1. Delete all the clones of the LUN, then under the LUN properties, go to the Data Protection tab and set the Clone LUN Capacity to 0GB (you can skip this step if you are moving the LUN to a different Storage Domain).
  2. Change the Storage class to FC in the LUN properties.

      3. Wait that the migration finishes (there will have a task running). Do not migrate more than 1 LUN at a time to avoid performances issues.
