Solution Type Technical Instruction Sure Solution 1666427.1 : Oracle Key Manager (OKM) - Drive was Replaced Does it Need to be Re-Enrolled?
In this Document
Created from <SR 3-8889912672> Applies to:Oracle Key Manager - Version 1.1.0 to 3.3 [Release 1.0 to 3.0]Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalDo I need to enroll / re-enroll a tape drive that replaced a broken encrypted drive? SolutionThe drive agent enrollment information is stored in the ethernet adapter card (i.e., dione or belisarius) and not in the drive. When the adapter card is replaced, the drive needs to be re-enrolled. Replacing a drive may not always require re-enrollment. If the drive's adapter card is external, and the drive is replaced, there is no need to re-enroll the agent. If the adapter card is built internal to the drive (i.e., HP LTO5, HP LTO6 and HP LTO7) and the drive is replaced, the agent must be re-enrolled.
