How to setup email reporting for XSCF errors via GUI
 

Solution

the official steps are only described for for the commandline in:
 SPARC Enterprise M3000/M4000/M5000/M8000/M9000 Servers XSCF User's Guide

 2.2.12 Mail Administration
 6 XSCF Mail Function

this are the steps to set it up via the GUI:

1) login into the WEB XSCF Console (XSCF BUI)
NOTE: you must have  "platadm" privileges to do the following which is by default set for user platadm

UsernamePrivileges
platadm useradm platadm mode fieldeng auditadm


1. select under Settings-->smtp
do the correct setup ( the values are customer dependent) for your email environment
[the “E-mail Reply Address” is the address which is then shown in the from field when the XSCF sends an email])
click "Save"


2. select under settings-->email reporting
click on: Emailreport State: -x- Enabled
click "Save"


3. enter your email address
select add
click "Save"


4. click "Test Mail" send a test mail for checking if it is correct

It has the following format (this is just an example):

Subject: Test Mail:M3000: M3000: serial# 0836AK2136
Date: Wed, 02 Apr 2014 08:39:39 +0100
From:<email Reply Address>@<domainname>.<top-level-domain>
To: <your email Address>@<domainname>.<top-level-domain>
