Sun StorageTek Crypto Key Management System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is unable to connect to the ELOM URL address in a browser window.

Customer can ping the ELOM ip address.

Customer can SSH / PUTTY to the ELOM ip address.

Customer can log into the ELOM via the SSH / PUTTY session as the root user.

Solution

SSH / PUTTY into the ELOM ip address...

Start SSH / PUTTY session, use the ip address of the ELOM.

Log in as user "root" or equivalent user that has root permissions.

At the SP prompt, type "  reset  " and answer yes to reset the SP.

Wait about 2 to 4 minutes and attempt to log in with the URL again.

Customer is now able to open the URL correctly and log in.

IF not, then the system board ELOM chip is probably bad. Please open a service request.
