Goal

How to check the uptime of the Opus switch and sefos

Solution

 The uptime of the switch and of sefos can be gathered through the ILOM commands:

  -> show /SP/clock/ uptime

      /SP/clock

      Properties:

      uptime = 4 days, 04:40:08           <---- displays the uptime of the switch

  -> show /SYS/sefos/ uptime

      /SYS/sefos

      Properties:

      uptime = 4 days, 04:38:28         <----  displays the uptime of sefos

Please note, There is currently not method to determine the uptime of the switch through snmp.

The SNMP MIB object sysUpTime does not relate to the uptime of the switch, it relates to the uptime of the snmp agent on the switch. The snmp agent can restart due to a variety of reasons, neither of which affect the operation of the switch.
