Goal


How to configure SNMP for T10000 Tape Drives. This is needed in order to automatically send back alerts through SDP2.


Note: There is only one SNMP manager that is supported by Oracle and that is the SDP2 appliance. No other SNMP managers are supported for the T10000 tape drives.


Solution


See attached process for details. VOP will require this setup. You must have a CSE version of VOP to accomplish this setup for VOP version 2.3.2 or lower.VOP version 2.4 combined functionality of the CSE and the customer version into 1 client version so SNMP can be set up by the customer.
