SolutionDISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS WHAT SKILLS DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED: TIME ESTIMATE: 30 minutes TASK COMPLEXITY: 0 FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS: PROBLEM OVERVIEW: A Sun Server X4-4 Internal USB Flash Drive needs replacement WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE: 1. Prepare the server for service. Power off the server and disconnect the power cords from the power supplies. 2. Locate and Remove the Internal USB Flash Drive The Internal USB Flash Drive connectors are located behind the Disk Backplane in X4-4 , see diagram below
To remove a USB flash drive, grasp it and pull it out of the internal USB port. 3. Install the replacement Internal USB Flash Drive Remove the replacment USB Flash Drive from it's packaging and place on an anti-static mat. 4. Return the Server to operation Replace the top cover
